Betis stars spread festive cheer in Seville hospitals with annual Christmas visit
Real Betis players took a break from training to deliver gifts and smiles to children in local hospitals, continuing a heartwarming club tradition during the holiday season.
The Betis squad showed there’s more to life than just football by bringing some proper Christmas joy to poorly kids across Seville hospitals, proving they’re champions off the pitch too.
Hospital visits after morning session
After returning to training on Tuesday morning (December 30th), the Betis first-team squad didn’t just head home for their feet up. Instead, they continued their lovely tradition of visiting local hospitals to spread some festive cheer among the little ones spending Christmas in hospital beds rather than at home around the tree.
The green and whites divided into groups to cover multiple medical facilities across the city, including:

- Viamed Santa Ángela de la Cruz
- Hospital Valme

The club sent a proper contingent of first-team stars to bring smiles to the kids’ faces. Among the players taking part in this heart-warming initiative were:

Coaching staff also joined the players, making it a full club effort to distribute gifts and spend quality time with the young patients.
Focus shifting back to the pitch
While Tuesday was about giving back to the community, it’s back to the bread and butter tomorrow. The squad will return to their training ground with their minds firmly on their first fixture of the new year – a right proper test against Real Madrid at the Bernabéu on Sunday, January 4th, with kickoff scheduled for 16:15 local time.
After spreading joy to the kids, they’ll be hoping to give their supporters something to smile about too with a result in the capital. Bit of a tall order, but stranger things have happened in this game we love!
