Fermín's X-rated taunt to Real Madrid fans: 'Go suck it, go home!'
Barcelona midfielder Fermín López caught on camera with choice words for Real Madrid supporters during trophy celebrations after El Clásico victory.
Barcelona’s young midfielder couldn’t contain his emotions after defeating their bitter rivals, letting loose with some rather colourful language towards the away supporters.
Talk about rubbing salt in the wounds! Movistar Plus cameras caught Barcelona’s Fermín López in a proper moment during the trophy celebrations after their victory against Real Madrid. The young midfielder was spotted directing some choice words towards a section of visiting fans: “Take that! Go suck it and go home!”
Celebration shenanigans
The footage clearly shows López jumping around with teammates Lamine Yamal and Marc Casadó while delivering his unfiltered message to the Madridistas in attendance. Bit tasty, that.
He wasn’t the only Barça player getting caught up in the moment either. The celebrations were proper boisterous as several Barcelona players exchanged words with fans who had been giving them stick throughout the match.
- Pau Cubarsí was also spotted making a rude gesture, though the cameras couldn’t catch exactly which section of supporters it was aimed at
- The Barcelona players were clearly buzzing after getting one over their arch-rivals
- These post-match antics will only add more spice to the next Clásico encounter
López’s match performance
As for his actual performance on the pitch before the verbal fireworks, Fermín started the match but wasn’t quite at his sparkling best. He had one decent opportunity to get on the scoresheet but found Thibaut Courtois in his way.
The midfielder put in a decent shift but was less influential than we’ve seen in other matches this season, eventually making way for a substitute in the second half.
Still, when you’re celebrating a trophy against your biggest rivals, who’s counting performance ratings? Certainly not Fermín, who was having the last laugh – quite literally – at the expense of the Madrid supporters heading back to the capital with their tails between their legs.
