The yellow army showed up in force at dawn to bid farewell to Las Palmas squad before their journey to face Racing Santander, with over 1,200 fans set to follow.
Las Palmas supporters created a spine-tingling atmosphere before dawn, giving their team a proper send-off that wouldn’t look out of place before a cup final.
Pre-dawn passion
While most of us were still catching some shut-eye, the most dedicated Las Palmas supporters were already up and at it. The squad was departing from Barranco Seco training ground in the early hours, heading to the airport for their journey to Santander. But they weren’t alone.
The most loyal fans gathered at the gates of the training complex to give their heroes one final boost before the clash against Racing. Despite this being just the first match of the second half of the season, the atmosphere was absolutely electric – proper big-match stuff.

- The club has shown ambition in the January transfer window
- The supporters are stepping up with passionate displays like this morning’s
The scene was a proper treat – flares lighting up the darkness, scarves waving in the wind, and supporters belting out chants. The whole occasion was dripping with emotion and hope, showcasing the special connection between the team and their fanbase.
Massive away support
Organized by the Ultra Naciente supporters’ group, dozens of fans created a colorful spectacle for the departing squad. It was their way of saying “we’ve got your back” ahead of the journey north.
And they weren’t joking – an incredible 1,200 Canary Islanders are expected to pack into El Sardinero for the match. That’s a proper away day turnout that puts some Premier League clubs to shame!
This yellow tide always travels well with the team, but this particular away trip will be something special as it represents the largest traveling contingent of the current campaign. Racing’s defenders will be facing not just eleven players on the pitch but a wall of noise from the stands.
