Piqué digs deep as Andorra FC organizes away day coach trip to Castellón
Andorra FC arranges supporter bus travel to one of their closest away fixtures of the season, with Piqué backing the initiative to boost fan presence at tough Castellón clash.
Andorra FC is making it easier for supporters to follow the team on the road, with a club-organized coach trip to their upcoming clash against Castellón.
Away day sorted
The Pyrenean club has announced a special travel package for fans wanting to make the journey to Nuevo Castalia on Sunday, February 1st. For 60 euros, supporters get both transport and a match ticket - not a bad deal considering this is one of the shorter away trips in Andorra’s calendar.
This isn’t the first time the club has sorted travel for the faithful. They typically organize these coach trips a couple of times each season, with the most recent being the November journey to Huesca. That day saw around 200 Andorra supporters make the trip to El Alcoraz, where they witnessed their side surrender a two-goal first-half advantage to draw 2-2.
Tough test awaits
The traveling contingent will need to bring their A-game to Castellón, as the hosts are proving absolutely mustard on their own patch this season. The numbers don’t lie:
- Castellón boast the best home record in LaLiga Hypermotion
- They’re the only team averaging over two points per home match
- Currently sitting pretty in second place in the table
- Lost just once in their last 11 matches (and that was away)
Perhaps most worryingly for the traveling Andorra supporters, Castellón have already shown they have their number this season. Pablo Hernández’s men handed Andorra a proper spanking back in November, winning 3-1 in Encamp.
Piqué’s backing
With club owner Gerard Piqué putting his hand in his pocket to support these initiatives, it’s clear Andorra FC is serious about building a proper away following. These organized trips help create that crucial atmosphere that can lift players when they’re up against the wall - something they might well need against such formidable home opposition.
