Córdoba secure Trilli loan deal from Valladolid as Isaac replacement
The Andalusian side move quickly to fill the void left by Carlos Isaac with the promising right-back from Real Valladolid, who could make an immediate debut this weekend.
Córdoba have wasted no time finding a replacement for the recently departed Carlos Isaac, bringing in promising right-back Trilli on loan from Real Valladolid until the end of the season.
Quick work from Córdoba
The Andalusian outfit announced the temporary capture of the 20-year-old defender just days after Isaac triggered his release clause to join Polish top-flight side Widzew Lodz. Talk about efficiency – the new boy has already been putting in the hard yards, training with Iván Ania’s squad on Wednesday in a session that was hastily made private.
Who is Trilli?
Álvaro Pérez Campo – known as Trilli – hails from Ortigueira in A Coruña and was born on May 19, 2003. The youngster developed in Deportivo La Coruña’s youth system before making the step up to their first team, where he spent two seasons in Primera Federación.
His potential caught the eye of Barcelona, who brought him into their setup to continue his development with Barça Atlètic. Interestingly, Trilli was part of the Barça B squad that lost the promotion playoff final to none other than Córdoba (2-1) at El Arcángel last season – so he’s already familiar with his new home ground, albeit from the wrong end of the scoreline!
Physical attributes
Córdoba have highlighted Trilli’s impressive physical attributes in their announcement:
- Standing at 1.84 meters tall
- Known for his attacking runs and depth
- International experience with Spain’s U19 squad
Immediate impact?
Trilli could be thrown straight into the deep end this Saturday against Las Palmas, given Córdoba’s defensive crisis. The team is currently missing Fomeyem, Álex Martín and Alcedo through injury, while Rubén Alves and Vilarrasa remain doubtful.
Despite being on Valladolid’s books this season, Trilli’s playing time has been limited – making just 11 appearances across league and cup competitions, totalling less than 300 minutes. The loan move should provide the promising defender with the regular football his development needs while helping Córdoba in their campaign.
