Alavés snap up Huesca gem Ángel Pérez with ambitious 2030 deal
The Basque club has secured one of Spanish football's rising stars on a long-term contract, adding pace and creativity to Coudet's attacking options.
Deportivo Alavés have completed a shrewd bit of business by signing promising winger Ángel Pérez from SD Huesca, tying the 21-year-old down until 2030 in a statement of intent.
Meteoric rise through the ranks
The Zaragoza-born talent has been on quite the journey these past few seasons. After joining Huesca in summer 2022 from CD Cuarte, Pérez spent time on loan at both Utebo FC and Rayo Cantabria, where he really started making a name for himself.
His spell at Rayo Cantabria last season was particularly eye-catching:
- 32 appearances in Segunda Federación (fourth tier)
- 10 goals scored
- 10 assists provided
Talk about consistency! Those numbers are proper tidy for a young lad still finding his feet in the game.
Breaking through at Huesca
This season has seen Pérez make the step up to Huesca’s first team, where despite his tender years, he’s established himself as one of gaffer Jon Pérez Bolo’s key players in Spain’s second division.
The young winger has already racked up 21 appearances across all competitions this term, contributing three goals and two assists – not bad for a player in his debut Segunda campaign.
What Alavés are getting
Pérez brings pace in abundance, technical ability, and a knack for getting into dangerous positions. He’s your classic wide-man who can beat his defender and deliver the goods in the final third – something every team’s gaffer is after these days.
For Alavés, this represents both an immediate boost to Eduardo Coudet’s attacking options and a potential diamond for the future. The length of the contract – running until 2030 – shows they believe they’ve got a right Bobby Dazzler on their hands.
The youngster has already arrived in Vitoria-Gasteiz and will immediately join up with his new teammates under Coudet’s watchful eye.
