Huesca clear the decks: Ntamack loaned to Amiens as January exodus continues

SD Huesca's winter squad overhaul continues with Samuel Ntamack joining Amiens on loan, while Albarracin returns to Alaves and Chatiliez departs for Cartagena.

The Segunda División strugglers continue their January clearout as they make room for final transfer window additions.

Ntamack Heads to France

The revolving door at SD Huesca shows no signs of slowing down as the club have shipped out forward Samuel Ntamack to French side Amiens SC on loan until the end of the season.

The striker, who only arrived at the Aragonese club last summer, departs after making just 14 appearances across all competitions, with 12 in the league and a couple in the cup, finding the net four times along the way. Despite having a contract that runs until 2028, Ntamack will continue his development in France’s Ligue 2, with a potential return next season if he features in Huesca’s future plans.

Complete Squad Overhaul

Huesca’s primary focus remains securing their Segunda División survival, and January has seen the club give their squad a proper shake-up in pursuit of that goal. Five new reinforcements have already walked through the door at El Alcoraz, with at least two more expected before the transfer deadline slams shut.

The club’s transfer strategy has been partly funded by some unexpected departures, including those of Ángel Pérez and Kortajarena, which have put a few bob in the coffers for new signings. Their recent victory against Cádiz – secured by winter signing Jordi Escobar – has given them a much-needed boost, lifting them out of the relegation zone and providing some breathing space.

More Departures Confirmed

The exodus doesn’t stop with Ntamack. Huesca have also reached an agreement with Deportivo Alavés to terminate Gustavo Albarracín’s loan spell. The midfielder hasn’t received the playing time he’d hoped for during his stint with the Aragonese outfit.

Completing the trio of departures is Chilean Willy Chatiliez, who will finish the season with Primera RFEF side Cartagena. Chatiliez had his moment in the sun this season, scoring against Eibar in the Copa del Rey, but evidently hasn’t done enough to cement his place in the squad.

With the transfer window’s final hours ticking away, Huesca fans will be watching closely to see who else arrives to help their battle against the drop.
