Huesca's transfer merry-go-round: Ntamack loaned to Amiens as squad overhaul continues

SD Huesca's January clearout continues with Samuel Ntamack heading to Ligue 2 side Amiens on loan, while Albarracin returns to Alaves and Chatiliez joins Cartagena.

Huesca’s frantic January window continues with three more players heading for the exit door as the Aragonese club make room for their final incoming transfers before the deadline.

Ntamack heads to France

Samuel Ntamack becomes the latest departure from El Alcoraz, joining Ligue 2 outfit Amiens SC on loan until the end of the season. The forward, who only arrived at Huesca last summer, leaves having made 12 league appearances and two in the Copa del Rey, bagging four goals during his brief stint.

Despite the temporary nature of his exit, Ntamack remains tied to Huesca until 2028, suggesting the club still sees long-term value in the striker. He’ll be expected to return next season if he features in the Azulgranas’ future plans.

Complete squad overhaul

Huesca’s January has been nothing short of a proper tear-up, with the club’s hierarchy absolutely adamant about reshaping the squad to secure survival in Segunda División:

  • Five new signings have already arrived at the club
  • At least two more transfers are expected before the window slams shut
  • Recent unexpected departures of Ángel Pérez and Kortajarena have provided additional funds

The timing couldn’t be better, as their recent victory against Cádiz - secured by winter signing Jordi Escobar’s goal - has lifted them out of the relegation zone and given them some much-needed breathing space. Talk about a result when you need it!

More departures confirmed

The exodus doesn’t end with Ntamack. Gustavo Albarracín’s loan spell from Deportivo Alavés has been cut short after the midfielder failed to secure the playing time he’d hoped for in Huesca.

Meanwhile, Chilean Willy Chatiliez is also on his bike, heading to Primera RFEF side Cartagena for the remainder of the season. Chatiliez leaves having made his mark with a goal against Eibar in this season’s Copa del Rey.

With the transfer deadline approaching, Huesca’s transformation continues at breakneck speed as they fight to maintain their Segunda División status.
