Madrid stars' dinner spot gets cheeky Google review: 'Found Jude in the loo'

Real Madrid players' exclusive night out at '61' restaurant in central Madrid prompted a hilarious fake review claiming an awkward bathroom encounter with Bellingham.

A fancy restaurant in Madrid got more than it bargained for when the Real Madrid squad popped in for dinner, becoming the subject of a viral Google Maps review that had Spanish football fans in stitches.

Royal dinner causes a stir

The Madrid players enjoyed a night out at the exclusive ‘61’ club-restaurant in the heart of Spain’s capital. Their appearance created quite the commotion, with unusual traffic around the venue as fans and photographers gathered outside hoping to catch a glimpse of their heroes.

While the players were busy tucking into their grub, the restaurant received an unexpected bonus - a comedy Google review that’s had everyone laughing their heads off.

The viral review that wasn’t quite on the level

The review came from a user named ‘Rukito’, apparently a prolific Google Maps reviewer with over 1,600 contributions. This particular write-up, though, was clearly having a laugh:

“Went yesterday and the atmosphere was mental - loads of journalists outside. We thought the President was visiting, but no, it was the Madrid players,” the reviewer began.

The satirical account then went on to complain about slow service before dropping the comedic highlight - a fabricated awkward encounter with England’s star midfielder:

  • Claimed they “found Jude in the bathroom”
  • Suggested Bellingham ignored a photo request
  • Called the players “rude” in jest

The reviewer gave the place just two stars, while acknowledging the food was decent and reasonably priced. They promised to return when things were “calmer” and mentioned a consolation shot offered by an apologetic waitress.

Not their first rodeo

This isn’t the first time Madrid players have caused a stir with their dinner choices. The team coached by Álvaro Arbeloa clearly knows how to make an entrance, though they probably weren’t expecting to become the subject of such creative online banter.

Next time they fancy a night out, they might want to book the whole gaff - otherwise, they might find themselves starring in another comedy review. That’s the price of fame in the Spanish capital, I suppose. Proper Bobby Dazzler of a story, this one!
