Güler rubbishes mobbing claims at Real Madrid: 'Saddened by these statements'

Turkish wonderkid Arda Güler has firmly denied allegations made by former Fenerbahçe scout that he's being bullied by teammates at the Bernabéu.

Real Madrid’s Turkish talent Arda Güler has come out swinging against claims he’s being victimized by teammates, describing the allegations as deeply upsetting.

What’s all this about, then?

The young midfielder has responded forcefully to some proper dodgy accusations from Serhat Pekmezci, former head of scouting at Fenerbahçe and someone who was closely involved in Güler’s early professional development.

Pekmezci had suggested that Güler was experiencing ‘mobbing’ (workplace bullying) from certain teammates at Real Madrid - an allegation that the player has categorically denied in a personal statement.

Güler sets the record straight

The Turkish starlet didn’t mince his words when addressing these claims:

“I’ve seen with sadness the recent public statements,” Güler explained in his response, making it crystal clear that his experience at Madrid has been nothing but positive.

He went on to emphasize that:

  • He’s been warmly welcomed by everyone at the club from day one
  • He considers Real Madrid as family
  • He’s “extremely proud” to be a Madrid player
  • He hopes to represent the club for many more years

Happy in the dressing room

Güler made a point of highlighting the strong team spirit at Los Blancos, stating that he feels both happy and honored to share the dressing room with his teammates.

The youngster, who joined Madrid in 2023 and has been gradually finding his feet at the Bernabéu, also requested that people ignore any further comments or reports on this matter.

It’s been a bit of a slow burner for the Turkish talent since his arrival in the Spanish capital, with limited playing time under Carlo Ancelotti. However, this statement suggests his lack of minutes isn’t down to any dressing room politics - just the Adam and Eve reality of breaking into one of the world’s most competitive squads.
